Cat of the month ~
Meet Bessie! She is a beautiful tabby who loves the sun! She is a self-assured kitty with a sweet personality on her terms of course! Bessie loves to play with wand toys.
Dog of the month ~ This is Dodger! He is a one year old boy who loves to spend time with you! He likes his walks and is enjoying the snow! He is an adorable mix - maybe shepherd, hound mix!
We need your help in two ways
First, our donations are way down and we need your help. We know that this is a very difficult time for all Americans ~ job uncertainty and the possibility of illness is in all of our minds. We can only hope that you, our community, can give just a small amount to help us help the animals that cannot help themselves. We still are caring for the pets in fosters and with Spring, comes kittens (they are coming in already) and medical bills.
Second, we need foster homes ready for cats, moms and kittens, and orphaned kittens! If you have some time and a quiet area in your home, would you please consider being a foster parent? Please go to our Foster Program page to find out more.
Pets are Family Too
Chandra Bishun-Freeman is helping animal shelters like ours by selling masks handmade by her mom and donating 20% of the proceeds. Here is a link to Chandra's story of why she is doing this. We want to say thank you to her for the $300 donation to NFSAW! If you would like to order masks, Chandra can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
The dogs are here!
The first dogs of the new year came in on Sunday morning from SAFE Rescue in Florida. These dogs were saved from an uncertain fate and we are so glad they came to us. Here, they each have a chance of going to a family that will love them and care for them. They each are very special and want nothing from us but unconditional love. What will you receive? The SAME!
So here's who came all the way to CT!
